Health + Humanities Internship Funding
Next call for Health + Humanities Internship funding will be August ’25 for Fall semester internships.
Up to three students will be awarded funding to support internships in health + humanities with
- Priority will be given to those students taking an internship class for the Health Studies Minor.
- Applications for Spring ’25 Internship funding are open Dec 2 2024 - Jan 31 2025.
- Decisions will be made on a first come first serve basis, so please get your application in as soon as possible!
This support is made possible by the Center for Community and Global Health and a grant from Mellon Foundation.

- Have you found an internship you’re excited about at the intersection of health + humanities? We encourage applicants to think boldly and broadly about this definition!
- Is the organization you will be interning with local to Oregon or does its work support people locally?
- Is the internship position unpaid or underfunded?
If you answered yes to all of these questions, you are a good candidate for funding!
Health + Humanities Internship Funding Program Components
Internships are paid at minimum wage and may be funded up to 8 hours/week for up to 13 weeks (the full Spring semester).
Eligible internships are held during the Spring ’25 semester.
Interns awarded Healing Through Narrative funds will meet regularly LC Faculty as part of an internship capstone course, or with Center for Community and Global Health staff. This meeting will act as supervisory and management support and interns will be paid for this time.
Internship hours will be paid directly through Lewis & Clark College and submitted weekly in Workday for review and approval.
