Welcome to the Writing Center!
What is the Writing Center? Above all, it is a place for helpful, encouraging conversations about your writing. We’re here to help you work both on current projects (at any stage) and on improving your writing more generally across your time at LC. Our goals are to help you reduce your writing anxiety, find an actionable plan for your next project, and develop skills that will give you a voice in the issues that matter most to you in this world. Few skills are more essential to effective social change, a successful career in most fields, or simply to living a thoughtful, intentional life. Please come see us if we can help — and scroll down to sign in for tutoring or to schedule an appointment.
Peer Tutoring
- Drop-in peer tutoring is available at our office in Watzek Library Sunday-Thursday, 3-10 pm (3:30-10 on Tuesdays). If you’re ready to meet, feel free to sign in during those hours using the link below (but please don’t sign in ahead of time). Come see the tutors for help at any stage of the writing process, from initial brainstorming to evaluating a finished draft.
