Our Focus

In this modern age, fostering the next generation of theatre artists has never felt more imperative. The contemporary performing arts world increasingly requires multidisciplinary artists capable of collaboration, proficient in the creation of their work, and adaptable to a frequently changing profession. We need the theatre artists of the future to be robustly prepared for such a field. In service of this, we are excited to present the Lewis & Clark Immersive Summer Theatre Program.

The Immersive Summer Theatre Program will assemble a cohort of gifted high school theatre artists—from within our region and abroad—who have been selected to study and create work over the course of two immersive weeks at Lewis & Clark College’s renowned Fir Acres Theatre. The intensive runs from June 15–28 on campus in Portland, Oregon. Students will attend workshops and masterclasses taught by professionals, audition for and rehearse a fully produced musical and cabaret, spend time immersing themselves in campus life at Lewis & Clark College, and enjoying the artistic and cultural offerings of Portland, Oregon, and the Pacific Northwest.
