Concentration in Design/Technical Theatre
The design/technical theatre concentration might be most appropriate for those interested in the visual components of theatre, in production organization, in set, props, lighting or costume design, or in the construction/implementation of those designs.
- Communicate design ideas to collaborators through graphic skills, language and research.
- Participate in the collaborative creation of theatre through the application of design skills.
- Demonstrate understanding of the different technologies and techniques used in the creation of theatre.
To fulfill a design/technical theatre concentration, a minimum of 47 semester credits is required, distributed as follows:
- TH 110A Theatre Laboratory
- TH 220 Theatre Graphics
- TH 280 Theatre and Society: Global Foundations
- TH 356 Devised Performance
- TH 490 Thesis Preparation Seminar
- TH 450 Senior Seminar
- 12 semester credits in design and technical theatre, chosen from the following:
