Week 5 Update, Vice President for Student Life
Happy Monday, Students!
Welcome to Week 5 of spring semester. Happy Valentine’s Day!! Please stop by the VPSL suite in East Hall and pick up a candy goody bag for you or for you to share with a friend.
In our multipronged approach to reduce community transmission of COVID, the college requires that all students, staff, and faculty document proof of vaccine and booster shots. As of today, we have hundreds of undergraduates who have not uploaded their proof of booster or exemption into their health portal. You must do so immediately in order to continue to attend in-person classes. Please make this a priority!
We continue to have incidents of positive COVID cases. Here is the latest:
COVID-19 cases: The college tested a total of 1,511 individuals last week. Of those, we had a total of 19 total positive cases for an overall positivity rate of 1.26%.
As our day-to-day campus routines become more settled and normal, I will transition from writing a weekly column to a bi-weekly column. Keep checking the Bark for fun activities and opportunities to engage on campus, and look for my next column on February 28, 2022. Stay involved!.
All the best,
