Econ Students & Alumni Come Together for an Evening of Networking
The collaborative efforts of the Career Center, Economics Department, and Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement culminated in a productive networking event for Lewis and Clark students and alumni alike.


Held on Wednesday, January 24th, the event provided an invaluable platform for students to engage with esteemed economics alumni, fostering meaningful discussions and connections.
Throughout the evening, students had the opportunity to interact with alumni representing diverse career paths within the field of economics. From sharing personal experiences to offering professional advice, alumni generously contributed their insights to help guide students in their academic and career pursuits.
The event emphasized the importance of networking in today’s competitive job market. Students gained firsthand knowledge about internship opportunities, industry trends, and potential career trajectories through interactions with alumni who have navigated similar paths.
Furthermore, the event showcased the strong sense of community within the Lewis and Clark network. Alumni, eager to give back to their alma mater, generously shared their time and expertise to support current students in their academic and professional journeys.
This event was a testament to the power of community and collaboration within the Lewis and Clark network. It provided students with a unique opportunity to engage with economics alumni, gain valuable insights, and establish meaningful connections that will undoubtedly impact their future success.
The Career Center’s next networking event will be on February 7th at Ales with Alumni.

This program is designed to equip student leaders with the skills to facilitate meaningful dialogue on campus. In this role, you’ll be trained in dialogue facilitation and learn techniques for fostering constructive conversations across a variety of perspectives. Following the initial two-day training, students will work with other trained practitioners to develop and facilitate a dialogue project on a topic that matters in our campus community.
