AUDITION FOR LC CHOIRS AND SINGING OPPORTUNITIES

Love to sing? All Lewis & Clark community members are warmly invited to audition for our fantastic choirs and singing opportunities on campus! There’s a place for everyone, whether you have years of singing experience or are new to singing!

Join us for the Choir/Voice Meet-and-Greet on Tuesday, September 3rd at 5:00 p.m. in Evans Auditorium, where we’ll introduce the choir and voice faculty, answer all of your questions, and eat cookies!

If you’re interested in being placed in one of our three amazing choirs, please sign up for an (easy, fun, and painless!) audition time with Kathy FitzGibbon by visiting her appointment page.

- Cappella Nova – rehearses M/W 4:30-6, select chamber choir that also tours and performs off-campus, expectation of music reading

- Voces Auream – rehearses Tu/Th 5-6:30, select treble choir

- Community Chorale – rehearses Tuesday evenings 7-9:30, large symphonic-style choir with all community members warmly welcome (undergraduates, grad and law students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends!)

Auditions will happen during the first week of classes, and our choirs will begin rehearsing during the second week of classes.

Music Professor Cox Receives 2025 GRAMMY-Nomination

Visiting Professor of Music John Cox has received a GRAMMY® nomination for his work on the album Clear Voices in the Dark. The album features Francois Poulenc’s Figure Humaine—one of the most powerful anti-fascist artistic expressions from the 20th century—a seven-movement secular cantata written in 1943 during the German occupation of France.

This (Anti)Valentine’s Concert Is Sure to Mend Any Broken Heart

The (Anti)Valentine’s Concert, an annual Lewis & Clark tradition, will feature the musical groups Cappella Nova, Kith & Kin, Community Chorale, Voces Auream, as well as several talented soloists. Come see this fun, lighthearted production on Wednesday, February 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Evans Auditorium.
