Gender Studies Symposium: Call for Proposals

You are invited to submit proposals for presentation at the 45th Annual Lewis & Clark College Gender Studies Symposium, March 11–13, 2026, exploring dimensions of resistance, activism, and solidarity in relation to gender and sexuality. Please review the guidelines in our Call for Proposals.

September 10, 2025

This interdisciplinary symposium is designed to bring together people from academia, activism, and the arts to examine resistance and solidarity in relation to gender and sexuality, and through feminist, queer, and trans framings. We invite you to read the full description of this year’s theme.

We are accepting proposals for individual academic papers (each lasting 15-20 minutes), full panels, interactive workshops, roundtable discussions, readings, and artistic productions. Complete guidelines can be found in the Call for Proposals, along with explanations of the different presentation formats.

All presentations examining issues of gender and sexuality will be considered, but we especially welcome those focusing on this year’s theme: RESIST NOW!

Proposals must be received by Friday, November 7, 2025, at 5 pm.

Send proposals to:
