Once Upon a Weekend is an opportunity for students to write, develop, and produce a short play/sketch/scene based on a theme. The catch is that they do this all within ONE WEEK!
This year’s theme is “Speak of the Devil”
How it Works:
Monday, October 13th: A theme is posted on the lobby bulletin board of Fir Acres Theatre. Anyone and everyone may write a short (10 minute max) play/ sketch/ scene based on the theme
Wednesday, October 15th at 6pm: Deadline to submit your play for Once Upon a Weekend- submit your play here!
Friday, October 18th at 5:30pm: Auditions on the Fir Acres Theatre Main Stage. Directors and actors will meet and divide into teams to stage the winning plays. No Rehearsals until Saturday.
Saturday, October 19th: One to two hours of rehearsal time only. Then it’s performance time! Plays will be directed and final performances will be produced and performed at 8pm in the Fir Acres Black Box.
