In response to interruptions in SNAP benefits, the Center for Social Change & Community Involvement is collaborating with the Chabad on Campus and the Student Philanthropy Council to host a campus-wide Food Drive for the Nest & Alder House. The drive will support both students on-campus and low-income Portland community members who are experiencing food insecurity. The drive will run for the month of November with regularly weekly distribution to community members in need.
Donations will be shared evenly between The Nest and Alder House, helping provide essential food support to students and the greater Portland community.
Supported Organizations:
The Nest is an on-campus community resource that offers Lewis & Clark College students free access to essential items like non-perishable food, hygiene products, and clothing. The Nest is located in Roberts 211.
