Moss Appreciation Week 2026
Moss Appreciation Week will return to Watzek Library and other campus locations February 8-15, 2026. Please join us! The full schedule will be posted in mid-January but you can expect many of the classic events to recur including the Moss Petting Zoo, a moss walk, a new Ear Forest installation, a keynote lecture, and terrarium-making workshops, among others…plus a few new surprises.

Peruse the new sensory maps, which provide guidance on selecting study spaces based on light, quiet, and soft seating. Exhibit: Cooperative Meaning-Making In John F. Callahan’s Literary Career
This library exhibit explores the career of John F. Callahan and his relationships with Black authors Ralph Ellison, Michael Harper, and Adam Bradley through letters, essays, and documents held in Special Collections and Archives. On display on the top floor of Watzek Library through the end of the fall semester. Curated by L&C student Thomas Schwiebert ’26.
