Lewis & Clark Athletics in a nutshell
Lewis & Clark College is a liberal arts college situated just outside of Portland Oregon. With a 68.8% acceptance rate, this school is for students who care about academics and seek a liberal arts education. L&C hosts 21 sports at the collegiate level all competing in the NWC conference.

With a small accessible campus, Lewis & Clark is any student athletes dream. Athletes follow a “ChamPIOn Mindset”. The ChamPIOn mindset stands for; Classroom, Competition, Community and Character. Lewis & Clark athletes seek to compete, but also follow sportsmanship.

D3 athletics focuses on academics first, then athletics. Lewis & Clark gives students the best resources to succeed. Between study halls mid day, to special academic advising meant for student athletes - the Lewis & Clark Athletic department wants students to be the best they can be.
Lewis & Clark College offers 29 majors for students to choose from. There are plenty of outside resources in the city of Portland, Oregon for L&C students to take advantage of. This includes Nike Headquarters nearby, internships in the city and more!

Career Accelerator Fall 2025
Thanks to a generous donation from alumna Heidi Hu ’85, Lewis & Clark is expanding its Career development programs. The Bates Center and Career Center are launching new opportunities this fall to help students gain real-world experience and job ready skills.
The Career Accelerator is a game changing program designed to combine the power of a liberal arts education with technical, job-ready skills. Employers value critical thinking, adaptability, and communication, but they also look for technical skills and work experience. In mid-January, the Bates Center for Entrepreneurship and Leadership hosted its annual entrepreneurial workshop, known as Winterim. The event brought 27 students to campus prior to the start of spring semester for a week of learning, networking, and mentoring, which culminated in a pitch competition for more than $10,000 in prizes.
