What made you want to come to Lewis & Clark?

The beauty of the campus, the small class sizes, and the fabulous reputation.

How do you describe the liberal arts?

A very well-rounded education to include all areas of teaching from arts, science, and the humanities.

How did you select your major?

My favorite classes were about nature and how it worked. It was natural for me to gravitate toward the classes that fascinated me.

How did Lewis & Clark prepare you for your career?

I had a very great education that served as a platform to further my studies. I learned how to study and apply myself to my coursework.

What would you say is the most important thing you learned at Lewis & Clark?

How to think for myself logically, thoughtfully, and carefully.

What’s your favorite part or most memorable experience of serving on the Board of Alumni?

I have met some amazing people who have come from L&C and learned so much from the people we interact with. My favorite parts of serving on the board are the ones in which the Board of Alumni interacts with current students, such as when we are selecting the student alumni ambassadors, career fairs, and Student Alumni Association Board Buddies program to mentor new members.

How do you encourage other alumni to give back to the college?

I tend to use social media to reach out to the classmates I am friends with and promote the institution’s goals and events to enhance any response.
