Emma Hataway ’25 (she/her)*

Physics and Mathematics double major

Emma was born and raised in the small town of Carson City, Nevada, where she spent a lot of time outdoors and in the mountains. Although she loves her hometown, she wanted a new experience in a different place from the place she grew up in. She has since greatly enjoyed the experiences and education that Lewis & Clark College and the city of Portland, Oregon have shown her. Emma decided on a math and physics double major to tie together her love for math as well as it’s applications. She is president of the campus’s Physics Club, through which she gets to host observatory nights, physics club hang outs, and many more events that the club hosts. After graduation, Emma has some exploring to do, but hopes to land on a career in physics and environmental sciences.
