Caitlin Harper

Like Dorothy’s adventure to the Emerald City in The Wizard of Oz, Caitlin Harper left her hometown of Wichita, Kansas to meet a wonderful cast of characters, revel in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and have a life-changing experience at Lewis & Clark. She graduated in 2010 with a degree in Psychology.

As a student, Caitlin spent a significant amount of time committed to her work-study job in the Admissions Office giving countless campus tours, helping at events for prospective students, and assisting in office operations. It was through her student employment that she discovered a passion for higher education and decided to make it her life’s work. She got a job in the L&C Admissions Office after graduation and, over the next decade, took on increasing responsibilities, eventually becoming a Senior Associate Director. The full-circle work of helping each new class of Pioneers access the same remarkable education she received was incredibly rewarding.

Now, Caitlin works as an independent college counselor for Collegewise, one of America’s leading college counseling companies. (We partner with Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher education initiative!) She helps students and families from across the country navigate the college admissions process with less stress and more success.

When Caitlin isn’t guiding students through college research or brainstorming application essays, you can find her blasting the latest Taylor Swift album, loudly cheering on the Chicago Cubs, or visiting Disneyland (which she is convinced is actually the happiest place on earth).
