Chuck Watkins is a serial entrepreneur who founded and led several companies. As CEO, Chuck led Wave Form Systems, Inc. (WFS), a medical services company that provided “per-procedure” rental of high-tech devices together with a technician to operate the equipment. WFS merged with ForTec Medical, Inc. in 2021. WFS products included an assortment of surgical lasers, extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy (ESWL), surgical ultrasound, cryosurgery products and specialized imaging modalities. WFS was active in 38 states at the time of the merger with ForTec.
While developing WFS’s technology offering, Chuck formed a relationship with Quanta System, SpA, a division of the El En Group of Florence, Italy. WFS and her spin-off, International Medical Lasers (IML), became Quanta’s largest world-wide surgical laser distributor. Chuck continues to serve on the board of IML
After graduating from Lewis & Clark College (BSc ’74), Chuck spent 10 years in international sales of agricultural and construction equipment., responsible for sales in Asia, Africa, Australia and South America. He later joined Israel based Laser Industries, Ltd., when use of surgical lasers were still considered experimental.
