Hello! I am excited to teach with Academic English Studies Program at Lewis & Clark College. The students and faculty here are dedicated, hardworking, and kind. Our program is rigorous and students finish the program truly ready for undergraduate and graduate work. In addition, our classes are held in clean, technologically fitted classrooms on the most beautiful campus in the area. Between the people and environment, there isn’t a better place to spend the day helping students to learn English.
My love of travel and culture began when I attended boarding school in Northern India. This experience ultimately led me to my career and has led me to travel throughout parts of Asia, Central and South America, and Europe. I have taught in New York City and throughout Portland, and I have taught English rhetoric and composition at the undergraduate level and English as a second language for the past five years. My favorite skills to teach are advanced writing, vocabulary acquisition, and communication skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, cooking, and dining at the many amazing restaurants and food carts in Portland. To try and balance my love of food, I am always walking around and exploring my hometown or nearby destinations and going to yoga and spin classes.
