
Rebecca Olason, hornist and educator, is passionate about music both as a tradition and as a living art form. They are a member of Bighorn Brass, and were a founding member of Rose City Brass Quintet and Onomatopoeia Trio.
As an avid and passionate teacher, Rebecca teaches horn at Lewis & Clark College, and horn, music theory, aural skills, and keyboard skills at Clackamas Community College. As a teacher, their intent is to support and nurture students’ love of music alongside technical and academic excellence.
Rebecca holds a Bachelors of Music Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oregon and a Masters of Music from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University both in Horn Performance. They studied with Lydia Van Dreel and Denise Tryon.
Music is located in Evans Center on the Undergraduate Campus.
