Holly Hisamoto
Career Advisor
Holly Hisamoto (she/her) joined the Career Center in Fall 2023 as a Career Advisor. Prior to her time at L&C, she served as an Exploratory Studies advisor and career development educator at Oregon State University. Before her roles in higher education, Holly was a Buddhist chaplain for 9 years in pediatrics, emergency care, and hospice. She received an MDiv in Buddhist Chaplaincy from University of the West, CA, and a Bachelors in Religious Studies from Naropa University, CO. Holly identifies as multiracial and grew up in Fairbanks, AK, embedded in a large kinship system of Japanese American family, Ashkenazi Jewish family, and adjacent to Alaska Native communities. Holly enjoys storytelling and story listening, studying Japanese arts (Haibun, Chado), wrestling with life’s big questions, translating dreams into action, and getting quiet in the woods long enough for wild animals to emerge.
Career Center is located in room 270 of Fowler Student Center on the Undergraduate Campus.
