Amy Miller ’80

Amy Miller believes that inspirational leadership, transparency and teamwork are
the keys to making organizations thrive. She is an effective decision maker and
understands how to assess and manage risk. She had a successful 40-year
career in Financial Services with a focus on Strategy, Risk, Credit, Stakeholder
Management, and Global Talent Management. Having been through numerous
financial cycles she knows how to respond to financial crises having experienced
six over the last four decades. She managed a global P&L consistently totaling
over US$100mm. Her international management experience spans Europe, Asia
and Latin America. Her expertise in Corporate and Investment Banking and her
extensive knowledge of both mature and emerging capital markets has provided
growth capital for many sophisticated multinational clients around the world. For
over four decades she delivered corporate finance advice to a wide range of large
complex organizations across multiple industry sectors.

For almost two decades, based out of New York, she served as Managing
Director, Global Head of Loan Syndications for Scotiabank, a Canadian financial
services company. She served on the US Executive Committee responsible for
strategy, governance, and corporate culture and as a member of the US Deal
Forum, US Debt Underwriting Committee and the US Talent and Culture
Committee for which she also served as Chair. Amy also held senior roles at
Merrill Lynch & Co., co-heading Loan Capital Markets as well as at TD
Securities, a Canadian investment bank, where she was Global Head of Loan
Syndications.

Amy presently serves on the Advisory Board Canada of Rock the Street, Wall
Street, an organization providing financial literacy programs to bring gender and
racial equity to the financial markets. She is a member of the President’s Advisory
Council for The Acceleration Program, an organization that supports small
business enterprise growth and the Board of Directors of Youth Inc., a venture
philanthropy organization dedicated to transforming the lives of youth. She also
serves on the Board of Trustees of Lewis & Clark College, a private liberal arts
college. She was Chair of the Investment Committee and a member of the Finance
Committee. She has been a member of numerous Audit Committees and is well
suited for audit committee membership and Chair roles.

Inspired by a drive to build businesses as well as being innately drawn to the
complexities of the capital markets, she made tangible positive impacts on the
organizations she served and the teams she led. She gained recognition for her
ability to make decisions, call markets, identify talent and for her abilities to link
financial products with customer growth strategies. She set herself apart through
the invaluable stakeholder relationships she established and sustained around the
globe with investors and issuers. Amy prides herself on her leadership which is
distinguished by her dedication to developing people, superior talent identification
with a focus on driving organizational effectiveness and diversity.

She holds a BA from Lewis & Clark College and a MA from Columbia University.
