Will joined the Lewis & Clark English department in 2003. He specializes in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century British literature, and his book, Outward Appearances: The Female Exterior in Restoration London, was published by Bucknell University Press in 2008. He has also published articles about women and portraiture, James Boswell and R. Crumb, wedding nights in 18th-century literature and race in Nabokov’s Pale Fire. At Lewis & Clark he teaches a section of the first-year course, the first half of the British literature survey (ENG 205), intro-level courses on Jane Austen and on Gothic literature, and upper-level classes on eighteenth-century fiction, plays and poetry.
