Overseas & Off-Campus Programs Cost
You can access the Overseas Program Fee through the Lewis & Clark Tuition and Fees page.
The fee is listed among regular LC tuition and fees so that you can compare the cost to a regular semester on campus. The Overseas program fee includes tuition, room and board, on-site transportation & excursions, and supplemental travel insurance. Note: The program fee does not cover airfare to and from the program location.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR OVERSEAS PROGRAMS SUMMER 2025
Payment of the program fee begins with a $300 non-refundable deposit payable within 30 days after acceptance, the balance to be paid in full by the date established in the payment schedule included in the student’s acceptance letter.
Withdrawal of Participant:
If a participant withdraws from a Lewis & Clark Overseas Program, or is dismissed from a program, the following fees* will apply:
If the participant withdraws three months or more before the beginning of the semester, the participant is responsible for the $300 non-refundable deposit.
If the participant withdraws less than three months before the beginning of the semester, the participant is responsible for a withdrawal fee of $3,000, which includes the non-refundable deposit.
If the participant withdraws at, or after, the beginning of the semester, in addition to the $3,000 withdrawal fee, tuition and program fees will be prorated on a per-day basis, up to the 60% point in the semester. After the 60% point in the semester, charges for tuition and program fees are not adjusted.
The College reserves the right to add any fees the participant incurs to their student account, and to withhold diplomas for outstanding balances. This may include, but is not limited to, non-recoverable expenses or fines for damages. Participants who have not settled their accounts will not be allowed to register or attend classes for future semesters.
The Overseas & Off-Campus Programs office and the Student and Departmental Account Services offices will determine the participant’s withdrawal fee based on the Lewis & Clark College of Arts & Sciences academic calendar, regardless of the actual program dates.
*Please note that the policy written above applies to semester-length and full year programs only. There is a separate withdrawal policy/fee schedule for summer programs, which can be found on the summer payment schedule.
Students anticipating any difficulty in meeting payment deadlines should notify the Overseas & Off-Campus Programs Office immediately so as not to be dropped from the program and perhaps penalized financially. Monthly payment plans are an option! Find detailed information about options for settling your account here.
Financial Aid:
Lewis & Clark College subsidizes the overseas program by allowing students to use financial aid for on-campus study toward the total fee.
Financial Aid may be applied to official College programs including aid for the summer semester.
