NSO Service Day
NSO Service Day is an annual Lewis & Clark tradition organized by NSO and the Center for Social Change and Community Engagement, designed to connect incoming undergraduates with Portlanders working for change.
This year, the entire incoming class will have the opportunity to participate with SOLVE in a massive litter cleanup at three of our beautiful city parks (Cathedral Park, Pier Park, and Broughton Beach) that are vital for improving our waterway health.
Service Day Details
This year’s Service Day is on Sunday, August 31. You will arrive at the parks by chartered bus around 9:30 a.m. and return back to campus around noon. All of the gear and directions you need to pick up litter will be provided. However, you must ensure you bring closed-toed shoes and any other gear/clothing that would make you comfortable. We highly encourage you to bring your reusable water bottle and a hat to protect your face from the sun. Snacks and sunscreen will be provided.

Sign up for the event via GivePulse.
- After you click on the green “Register” button, you will be prompted to log in.
- Click on the grey “Single Sign On (SSO)” button, and then type in “Lewis & Clark College” to sign in with your school credentials.
- You will then be able to click on the green “Register” button to sign up for this event.
- Complete SOLVE’s online waiver.
