Spring Transfer Checklist
We’re delighted to welcome you to the Lewis & Clark community! This new student checklist will help break down all of the tasks you need to do this summer.
Key Reminders
- The Hive student portal serves as your personalized one-stop-shop for all of the resources and logins you will need for completing new student tasks, such as housing, registration, billing, and more.
- We highly encourage you to attend our welcome webinar, held Friday, January 9 from 2–3 p.m. PST, which will help answer all of your questions as you connect with staff and faculty. A recording will be made available if you cannot attend.
Note: tasks with an asterisk (*) are required.
ASAP Deadlines
Deadline: ASAP
*Required
Officially accept your offer of admission and pay your deposit as soon as possible, but no later than 5 p.m. PST on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
Deadline: ASAP
*Required
Create your Lewis & Clark account, which will establish your username for L&C email and systems including the Hive portal, WebAdvisor (the website you’ll use to search for courses, locate your registration times, and register), Moodle, and wifi access points on campus. All communication from the college will be sent to your new L&C email address once you’ve set it up. During account creation, your L&C username is shown at the top of the page (e.g. lc26-5678@lclark.edu). You will also create an email alias (e.g. johnsmith@lclark.edu), but you won’t use that to log in anywhere. People can email you using your alias or username (they both route to the same inbox), but only your username will allow you access into L&C systems and email.
You will also need to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) with SecureAuthMFA as an added layer of security, protecting the community and helping safeguard college data.
This video tutorial will walk you through the entire process.
Deadline: ASAP
*Required
Once you have created your Lewis & Clark account and set up Multi-Factor Authentication, visit mail.google.com to get started. To log in, rather than using the @gmail.com extension, you will use your Lewis & Clark username (e.g. lc26-5678@lclark.edu) and password. The college will exclusively use this email address to communicate with you throughout your academic career. Please check your L&C email frequently.
Note: It may take up to 15 minutes after creating your account for you to be able to log in with Gmail.
Deadline: ASAP
*Required
It is critical that we have a cell phone number and other contact information for you and your family in the event of an emergency. We recognize that you may have concerns about your privacy. The emergency contact information you provide will be held in a limited-access, password-protected portion of Lewis & Clark’s database and used only in compliance with the institution’s policies and procedures.
- Navigate to the WebAdvisor card in the Hive portal.
- Click on Students, then on Emergency Contact Information.
- After entering the appropriate contact information, click Update/Verify to complete the entry.
Deadline: ASAP
If applicable
Lewis & Clark is committed to serving the needs of students with disabilities and learning differences. Note: Academic accommodations can be started at any time with Student Accessibility, but it is highly recommended to start the process over the summer.

When you meet with your college advisor, be sure to review with them whether placements are needed. If so, your advisor can provide further instructions.

Lewis & Clark believes that each member of the community is responsible for the integrity of their individual academic performance. It is important for all students to understand what constitutes academic dishonesty. The Academic Integrity Tutorial will be available 24 hours after you set up your L&C email account.

The wellness courses will provide you with the knowledge and skills for active bystander intervention, education on responsible substance use, information on identifying and preventing hazing, and an overview of campus resources and supports.
You will need to complete three online training modules: Sexual Assault Prevention, AlcoholEdu, and Hazing Awareness and Prevention. This is a mandatory program for all new students. Failure to complete these modules by the deadline will result in a hold on your registration for fall semester classes.
Visit the Training Compliance webpage to find information about your specific training requirements and deadlines, access the training modules, and learn who to reach out to for questions about each module. If you have experienced trauma regarding sexual and/or interpersonal violence, you can find instructions about how to request an alternative option in the FAQs section of that webpage.
