2024-2025 LC Peer Collective Leadership

Building off President Holmes-Sullivan’s vision to create community and a network of support among current and emerging peer leaders, the Peer Collective Leadership program is an opportunity for current and emerging student leaders to come together in support of each other.

The purpose of the Peer Collective Leadership (PCL) program is to provide leadership development opportunities to students and student leaders in building a community of support together. Students will gain microcounseling skills, leadership experience and may serve as de facto peer mentors to each other. Progressing through PCL will create a shared experience amongst students and ultimately create an environment of inclusivity and provide important leadership development.

Completion

Students who complete a total of TEN workshops over the course of one academic year will be recognized with a commencement cord and certificate and invited to a celebratory dinner at the end of spring semester.

A minimum of TWO workshops per track must be completed with the remaining four to be from any area within the listed available workshops. Students will be asked to submit a minimum 250 word reflection on their experience and leadership skills gained/implemented as a result of the program.

Continuing Participation

Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to create and facilitate a workshop that is part of the PCL program and be recognized as one of the program speakers online. A small financial honorarium will be given per workshop that is done by the student.
