L&C Unanimously: Lauren Lottman

L&C Unanimously is a quarterly profile of a faculty or staff donor to Lewis & Clark.
Below, get to know Director of Advancement Services Lauren Lottman and learn why she supports Lewis & Clark.
What is your role at Lewis & Clark? How long have you worked here?
I’ve been the Director of Advancement Services on the Institutional Advancement team since 2015. My department manages Lewis & Clark’s fundraising and alumni database. The primary areas I oversee are gift processing, data entry and maintenance, reporting, data analysis, and system enhancements.
Why do you choose to support Lewis & Clark?
As a part of the Institutional Advancement team, I regularly have the opportunity to hear how donors are making an impact at Lewis & Clark. Whether it is through a scholarship or much needed annual fund support, it all makes a difference in achieving Lewis & Clark’s mission. I am grateful to be a part of that.
What do you like best about working at Lewis & Clark?
The people! I get to work with many different departments across campus. I am consistently impressed with the knowledge, dedication, friendliness, and enthusiasm I encounter on a regular basis.
What do people not know about you?
Even though you won’t often hear me say “yinz” (the much less common version of “y’all”), I am originally from the Pittsburgh area. I learned in college that there is something called Western Pennsylvania English or Pittsburghese, which I speak fluently.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
My husband and I moved to Portland for all of the outdoor activities. I love skiing, biking, hiking, and running with our dog.
Name something on your bucket list.
I hope to visit all the National Parks in the United States. I’m keeping track in my childhood National Park Passport.
