The return of the students signals the kick-off of another important annual tradition: the Fall Alumni Challenge. From now until September 30, the Board of Alumni will match gifts from alumni dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of your support!
Every September, campus bursts back to life as the college welcomes students for the new school year. The air buzzes with the sounds of move-in day: shouts and hugs as old friends reunite, cheers as faculty and staff line up to form a welcome tunnel for new students, and even the sounds of a few tears as parents wave their heartfelt goodbyes.
Alumni play an enormous part in this annual tradition thanks to the financial aid made possible by alumni support. Alumni gifts create life-changing opportunities for students like Evelyn Gore who is able to live out her dream of calling “this campus my home” because of the generous financial aid she received from L&C.

This transformational approach to career readiness will integrate career competencies and work-ready skills into every undergraduate’s academic journey; a commitment from Heidi Hu BS ’85 and Daniel Hsieh establishes an endowment to support it.
