IME’s Lending Library Program

The Office of Inclusion & Multicultural Engagement (IME) is excited to announce the launch of our Lending Library program!

How it works:
  • Students can click on this link to view what books we have
  • If students see something they’d like to borrow, they can come to IME during regular business hours (M-F, 9-5pm, starting next week) to find their book and check it out with an IME staff member
  • Students can borrow the book up to the semester.
While our space is limited, we’re happy to receive any books that we know are being used for class and/or any fun reads! Faculty, if you have extra copies of books for your class that you’re willing to contribute to our Lending Library, please feel free to let us know by emailing multicultural@lclark.edu. 
IME is located on the third floor of the Fowler Student Center. You can reach us by taking the external Fowler elevator to the third floor or by using the spiral staircase in Fowler.

Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement is located in room 324 of Fowler Student Center on the Undergraduate Campus.

Please join us in congratulating Associate Professor of History and Department Chair Reiko Hillyer on the upcoming publication of her latest book, A Wall is Just a Wall: The Permeability of the Prison in 20th Century America (Duke University Press, February 16, 2024). Influenced by her work teaching in the Inside-Out program,  Hillyer traces the decline of practices that used to connect incarcerated people more regularly to the free world.
