November is National Native American Heritage Month month—the perfect time for this special announcement from the newly re-established Lewis & Clark Native Alumni Association (NAA). They are working to establish an endowed scholarship that will provide a permanent source of support for Native students, a group that is currently underrepresented on campus.
The scholarship is designed to assist undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need, with a preference for students who demonstrate an interest in Native American history, culture, or communities. This effort aims to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment while easing the financial burden of attending college for Native and Indigenous students.
Calling on Our Community for Support
In a tremendous show of support, Lewis & Clark President Robin Holmes-Sullivan has generously offered to match the funds the Native Alumni Association raises. This incredible opportunity allows the association to significantly accelerate its impact.
The Native Alumni Association has set an ambitious goal: to raise $25,000 by the end of the calendar year. Reaching this amount will secure the President’s match and officially establish this vital scholarship fund.
We’re calling on all fellow alumni and community members to join this effort. Every gift, regardless of size, is a direct contribution to the education and success of Native students and helps strengthen Native and Indigenous cultures and traditions at Lewis & Clark. Support the Native Alumni Association Scholarship today!
