Prison Abolition Club

Our mission is to explore the alternatives and possibilities of abolishing the current system of punishment in the United States–including prisons, policing, jails, probation/parole, civil commitment, and systems of surveillance. We will address the system through its interactions with racism, mental health, houselessness, gender, law enforcement, environmentalism, poverty, immigration, labor issues, democracy, capitalism, and education while involving ourselves within the community in tangible and meaningful ways.
