The purpose of the Afrikan Diaspora Club is to provide a platform for students to engage in
discussions, activities, and projects that promote global citizenship, African culture and
heritage, and academic support. The club is dedicated to creating an inclusive and dynamic
community that encourages learning, growth, and cultural exchange.
To better serve the goals and needs of the members of the Afrikan Diaspora Club, and
strengthen our impact within our college community, we aim to:
1. Foster Connections and Collaboration: The club shall provide opportunities for members
to network, connect with guest speakers, and participate in community service projects,
to build relationships that support their academic and personal goals.
2. Support Academic Excellence: The club shall offer tutoring, study groups, and other
resources to support members’ academic success.
3. Strength Partnerships with other Organizations: The club shall collaborate with other
organizations on campus to enhance its impact, raise awareness of
important issues, and organize events.
4. Recognize Contributions and Achievements: The club shall celebrate the work of African
artists, musicians, writers, and leaders by hosting events that showcase their
contributions and inspire future generations.
5. Create a Safe and Inclusive Environment: The club shall foster a welcoming and inclusive
atmosphere through a code of conduct that values respect and support, and provide
opportunities for members to share their experiences and perspectives.
6. Celebrate African heritage and culture: various forms of expression including but not
