Kapamilya focuses on centering the experience of Filipino culture with our Filipino community and beyond. We recognize there are barriers many people face to interacting with culture and aim to cultivate a community on campus in which students of all backgrounds are able to connect with and learn about Filipino culture, as well as educate and learn from each other. We hope to share and celebrate Filipino culture with the entire LC student community and bridge community gaps that have kept people from unity and solidarity among ourselves. Furthermore, in recognizing the intersectionality of our membership, their needs, and culture, we value community care and encourage engagement with other groups or causes outside of what we immediately know and provide.
