Pratyush Jha Kumar ’27 (he/him)

Pratyush is a sophomore studying Mathematics and Computer Science at Lewis & Clark College. Originally from Hyderabad, India, he has always been deeply passionate about sports, especially cricket. As the captain of his school’s cricket team and vice-captain of his district team, he played at the state level, honing his leadership and teamwork skills. Beyond sports, Pratyush has a deep appreciation for music, movies, and art, with a special love for Bollywood cinema. Since moving to Portland, he has expanded his creative pursuits by directing two full-scale theatrical productions at Lewis & Clark. On campus, Pratyush is an active leader in several student organizations. He is the incoming President and Chair of the Investment Club, where he brings in professionals from various industries to foster discussions on financial literacy and career development. Additionally, he serves as Chair of the South Asian Student Association, working to build a strong sense of community and cultural appreciation on campus. He is also an active member of the Association for Computing Machinery, furthering his interest in technology and innovation. Pratyush is passionate about engaging with students and alumni and is thrilled to be part of the Student Alumni Association (SAA) this year. He is currently working on creating a platform to connect alumni and students for mentorship and career opportunities. Most importantly, he is eager to build lasting connections within the greater Lewis & Clark community and contribute to a strong network of support and collaboration.
