What three words would you use to describe L&C?
What’s your favorite class? Why?
My favorite class is Constitutional Law with Professor Lochner. I love this class because the professor is engaging, and I am learning about how complex law is.
What made you want to come to Lewis & Clark?
I was offered a substantial amount of financial aid.
What do you like or find most interesting about your major?
Applying environmental studies with law is the most interesting part of my major.
Tell us about your support systems and social outlets on campus: people, activities, clubs, res halls, etc.
I did some counseling sessions, and other than that, my ENVS advisors are my support systems.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Focus on learning, and try to strengthen your passion for learning. Both make learning and passing much easier.
Tell us about the ENVX Symposium. What has your experience as a cochair been like? How does this event complement your academic experience?
I am not a cohair yet, but I am excited to further my career development with public speaking and large action planning. Columbus, Ohio has its own version of Albina, and many of the issues we discuss around Ablina are prevalent in Columbus, Ohio. I care a lot about these issues, and I am happy I am able to help a community so close to my own.
How did your financial aid package influence your decision to attend Lewis & Clark?
My financial aid package is what led me to attending Lewis & Clark College. I was accepted by two four-year colleges, and when I called to obtain more financial aid, only Lewis & Clark gave me more financial aid. I applied to Lewis & Clark because I truly wanted to attend Lewis & Clark, but I do not have a lot of money, and I am an independent student, so my financial aid package meant a lot to me.
