The main goal of the Arabic Club is to connect current native Arabic speakers and
non-native Arabic speakers on campus to initiate and maintain an entertaining and
informative environment. Forming such connections will provide the Arabic language
community and students interested in learning further about the MENA region the
opportunity to improve their linguistic skills, cultural awareness, and build connections.
● The principal goal of the club is to promote fun learning experiences associated with
Arab culture. Furthermore, cultural awareness will be promoted through the Arabic
language, history, customs, and traditions.
● Along those lines, we would like to demonstrate activities and events at Lewis and Clark
College to advance diversity, and cultural interaction to individuals interested in
acquiring a knowledge of Arabic and the MENA region.
● The suggested activities include the following:
● Review, practice, and improve language proficiency (through speaking, listening,
reading, and writing).
● Native and non-native speakers’ interactions.
● Providing factual information relating to the Arab culture through the language,
history, traditions, and customs.
● Enjoying Arabic cuisines, art, musical instruments, and songs.
