With the growing importance of higher education, college affordability has become a mounting national issue that greatly impacts current students, their families, and their community. On top of the increasing costs of higher education, life happens. We do not believe that unforeseeable financial setbacks should determine the future of a student’s attendance at Lewis & Clark. In light of this, the Associated Student Body (ASB) established Pioneers for Pioneers, a student-led effort that seeks to complement existing financial assistance to help when life happens.

Since its conception in 2014, more than $64,000 has been awarded to help make a continued college education possible.

Applying for Pios4Pios

In order to be considered for a Pioneers for Pioneers opportunity grant, a student must:

• have accessed all awarded sources of aid
• have demonstrated need that has not been met by existing aid sources
• need additional funding to continue at Lewis & Clark
