What three words would you use to describe L&C?

Eclectic, Green, Cozy

What’s your favorite class? Why?

Myth, Ritual, and Symbol with Bruce Prodobnik. This class was not only structured well, but also the content was so fascinating and the class discussions were really wonderful.

What made you want to come to Lewis & Clark?

I was attracted to Lewis & Clark by their various programs, and of course, the beautiful campus.

What do you like or find most interesting about your major?

I really love the blend of sociology and anthropology. This connection with the two disciplines brings together really interesting perspectives and allows me to gain experience with both fields.

What do you like or find most interesting about your minor?

The gender studies minor has allowed me to view the world with a new perspective and connect with community on and off campus.

Tell us about your support systems and social outlets on campus: people, activities, clubs, res halls, etc.

I am surrounded by wonderful people including my friends, roommates, neighbors, and classmates. We have curated a space for support and love for one another.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Never hesitate to reach out for support. Use the campus resources, and those around you. No one will judge you for asking for help!

Tell us about the upcoming Gender Studies Symposium. What has your experience as a co chair been like? How does this event complement your academic experience?

This year’s Gender Studies Symposium has been such an incredible experience. The planning process has sparked such creativity and inspiration just within my everyday life. This year’s theme feels so important and will continuously connect to areas outside of gender studies.
