Information for Continuing students

Registration Information for Summer 2026

Online registration for Summer Sessions begins March 16 and continues through May 14.  Classes for session I begin Monday, May 18. 

Registration will be open to all continuing undergraduate students on March 16.  Others may register for summer classes by using the Registration Form found on the Summer Sessions website.  Please keep in mind that the add/drop period for summer courses is the first two days of the session only. Registration matters that require assistance must be completed by 4pm.

Registration Information for Fall 2026

March 9-April 3: Registration advising period

You must meet with your academic advisor to obtain advisor approval to register for your fall 2026 courses.

April 7-16 Priority Registration

• April 7-9: First round of registration. Continuing students will register for one class during the first round. Registration begins at 7am!
  • You can see your registration times and dates posted on the Self-Service Planning and Registration screens after Registration Advising begins.
  • You can also find your registration time based on your anticipated completion date on our Registration Times webpage.
    
• April 14-16: Second round of registration. Continuing students can complete registration for a full schedule.
• April 20 - August 27: Online Registration remains open for all students to make changes to their fall schedules.

BEFORE BEGINNING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS

Check Self-Service for:

• Advisor approval to register.
• Any appropriate instructor overrides or waivers.  (See below.)
• Check for holds which may prevent registration and address them before registration begins. Hold alerts will display on the Home screen of Self-Service.

Verify that you meet the prerequisite  or restriction criteria for the sections on your plan, or obtain any necessary instructor permissions.  Symbols will appear on the sections:

• If you do not meet the required criteria to register for a section, but the instructor wants to allow you to register for it, the instructor must provide the correct type of authorization.  See the Guide for Permissions.

If you have questions about using Self-Service, we encourage you to review documentation on the Self-Service Planning and Registering website, and to visit the VIDEO LIBRARY maintained by the College Advising Center. The CAC posts short, entertaining videos that show how to complete actions in Self-Service, or visually demonstrate other important concepts or actions.
