Housing Accommodations

Students seeking a disability or faith based housing accommodation must work with the Office of Student Accessibility or The Center for Spiritual Life to initiate the housing accommodation process and provide necessary documentation. 

Please pay attention to Returning Student versus Incoming Student accommodation timelines! 

2025-2026 Returning Student Housing Accommodation Timeline

  • Returning students seeking a new housing and/or dining accommodation for the 2025-2026 academic year must have completed their accommodation process with OSA or the Center for Spiritual Life by April 11th, 2025.
    • OSA will work with current students on housing, assistance animals, parking exemptions, modified meal plans, and academic accommodations after this date, but placement into accommodation housing during returning student room selection in April 2025 can not be guaranteed if the documentation process is not completed by April 11, 2025.
    • Chaplain and Director of the Center for Spiritual Life, Hilary Martin Himan, will work with students on faith based accommodations after this date, but placement into accommodation housing for the 2025-26 academic year can not be guaranteed if the documentation process is not completed by the deadline
  • Students approved for accommodations after April 11, 2025 will be placed on a waiting list for their accommodation and the Office of Campus Living will place students into housing that meets their accommodations as space becomes available.

2024-2025 New Student Disability Related Housing Accommodation Timeline

The 2025-26 New Student Accommodation Timeline will be updated in April 2025! Please reference the 2024-25 timeline as a guide. 

  • New Students seeking disability related housing and/or dining accommodations with The Office of Student Accessibility (OSA) for the 2024-2025 academic year must complete the accommodation process with OSA by July 15th, 2024. Click here to view OSA’s webpage.
    • Chaplain and Director of the Center for Spiritual Life, Hilary Martin Himan, will work with new students on faith based accommodations after this date, but placement into accommodation housing for the 2024-25 academic year can not be guaranteed if the documentation process is not completed by July 15th, 2024.

  • Students approved for accommodations after July 15th, 2024 will be placed on a waiting list for their accommodation and the Office of Campus Living will place students into housing that meets their accommodations as space becomes available.

Examples of Housing Accommodations:

  • ADA accessible room/ room without stair access
  • Access to a restroom with a hand-rail near the toilet and shower
  • Room with visual fire alarm installed
  • Single room

Examples of Dining Accommodations:

  • Modified meal plan
  • Peanut or nut free meals
  • Gluten Free meals
  • Gluten Intolerant meals
  • Lactose Intolerant meals
 

To move forward with a disability related housing and/or dining accommodations, please complete the following steps with the Office of Student Accessibility (OSA):

2) send the Residential Accommodation Documentation form to your provider.

Students who already have OSA Housing Accommodations:

Students who already have housing accommodations with OSA may be required to renew their housing accommodation on an annual basis. If a returning student with a housing accommodation is in need of a new housing accommodation or needs to renew their existing accommodations, then they will need to contact OSA within the appropriate Returning Student Accommodation Timeline listed above. Students who are not sure whether they need to renew their accommodations should reach out to OSA as soon as possible.
