Special Housing Options for 2025-26
Updated 4/8/2025
The Suites at Copeland
Leaning into Copeland Hall’s modular design Campus Living is creating a path for students who have a group between 11-16 residents in size to have their own piece of Copeland that has a mix of singles, doubles, and quads.
Priority will be given to applications that show a group’s alignment with one or more of our Campus Living foundations. For application information, please email living@lclark.edu.
Copeland Suites FAQ
Suite Style Doubles/Triples
A suite style double or suite style triple is a designed quad room with only two or three
We were able to offer suite style doubles for 2024-25 and anticipate being able to offer them for 2025-26. The number of suite style doubles/triples we are able to offer is dependent on the amount of continuing student housing demand and incoming class size.
We will open a suite style interest form after room selection. Roommate groups who are interested in a suite style double/triple should all fill out our suite style interest form.
We expect to be able to start offering Suite Style rooms in late May/early June.

Double-Single Buyouts
A double-single buyout allows residents to pay the difference between a double room and a single room to remain as the only occupant of a double room space. For 2025-26, we will host a double-single buyout waitlist for anyone interested in “buying out” the open bed in their double or to be shifted into a double room as a single occupant.
For 2025-26, a double-single buyout is $650 per semester. Once you are confirmed for a double-single buyout, this charge will be placed on your student account.
- Please note that confirmed double-single residents are responsible for any damages charges for the entire room space.
Any double style room on-campus. This includes Hartzfeld suites, Holmes suites, and all double rooms. Singles, triples, and quads are not eligible.
Fast Pass for Quads and Triples
Do you want to secure a triple or quad booking in Copeland or Forest for 2025-26 with your friends ahead of room selection? The FastPass process supports returning residents who want to secure a triple or quad with their roommate group. This opt-in process will allow your roommate group to let our office know about your desire to live in a triple/quad before room selection and secure a triple/quad booking without the need to participate in room selection.
To move forward with a FastPass for 2025-26, please complete the following steps between March 1st and March 23rd:
- Send an email to living@lclark.edu with the subject line “FastPass”
- Include all members of your desired roommate group on the email
-
In the email, please include:
- All roommate names
- The room type (triple or quad) you are interested in
- A list of at least 3 preferences for placement. If you would like to be re-booked into your current quad/triple, please include this information in the email.
After March 23rd, we will move forward with booking roommate groups into triples and quads. We will place residents into triples and quads in the following order:
- Roommate groups who want to be rebooked into the same triple/quad room they are residing in for 2024-25
- We will assign in chronological order the FastPass request received between March 1st and March 23rd. We will prioritize returning residents who want to live in an LLC.
- We will continue to accept FastPass requests after March 23rd, but your placement will happen after all other FastPass requests have been booked.
FastPass FAQ
In previous years, we have set aside more quads and triples for incoming students than returning students based on the belief that returning residents want to live in doubles or singles. After feedback from residents and RAs, we learned that more returning students than we anticipated may want to live in triples/quads with their friends, but don’t see as many triples or quads during room selection. We hope this process will support our returning residents into their desired housing while reducing stress during room selection and creating better housing experiences for all residents, new and returning.
- Triples and quads in Copeland and quads in Forest are eligible for FastPass.
- Living Learning Community spaces that residents aren’t apart of, Platt Quads, Holmes suites, and Hartzfeld suites are not eligible for FastPass.
