Fall 2025 ONLY Move Out Details
- For students who are moving out of their fall only assignment and are not returning to on-campus housing for spring 2026.
To complete a proper move-out, you will need to:
- Let us know which move-out option you will be completing by filling out the Fall Only Move Out form (sent to Fall Only resident’s email). Options are listed below.
- Return your key to the Odell Annex front desk, or the Odell Annex key drop box in the lobby. You have card access to this space after hours so that you can enter and leave your key. Do not leave your key with roommates, RAs, or Campus Safety. The Annex is accessible 24/7 via tap card access so you can return your key at any time!
- Don’t forget to update your mailing address!
FAQs about Fall Only Move Outs:
- I leave very early in the morning before the Vacate Inspection times on the sign up. How should I go about a vacate inspection?
- Default to an express check-out option! When you are ready to leave campus, drop your keys at the Odell Annex. You have card access to this space after hours so that you can enter and leave your key.
- What happens if I don’t complete the move out form?
- If you don’t complete the form, we consider this an improper check-out and charges will be applied to your student account. You will be defaulted to Option A: Express Inspection. An RA will review your room at a later date and time to verify the condition of the space.
- What happens if I forget to drop my key off at the Odell Annex before I depart?
- Please send us an email as soon as possible so we are aware. However, a $150 re-key charge will be placed on your student account. We need all keys back in our office by 8am on December 18, 2025.

Preparing for Fall Closing Checklist
Staying on campus for winter break?
- If you are staying on-campus for winter break
- And you live in Holmes, Hartzfeld, East, Roberts, or Juniper, you will remain in your room for the break. No action required!
- And you live in Copeland, Platt-Howard, West, Alder, Manzanita, Spruce, or Ponderosa, you will collect a temporary room key for a space in Stewart-Odell or Holmes on Sunday, December 21st and transition into a temporary winter break room. You will transition back to your academic year room in January!

Transportation & Parking Reminders
- Parking permits are not required during the winter break (Dec 20 - Jan 20)

Students may leave vehicle on campus during break but should keep the following in mind:
- LC is not able to guarantee the safety of your vehicle. Please make sure to take all valuables out of car and properly secure it.
- In the event of an emergency and your vehicle needs to be relocated, LC reserves the right to tow to a different parking space (at LC expense).
- The Campus Living Discord has a transportation channel! Connect with others for end of fall semester ride-share options.
Update Your Mailing Address
It is your responsibility to update your mailing address via Webadvisor before you vacate for the break. To complete this:
- Log in to WebAdvisor
- Click on Students, then on Emergency Contact Information.
- After entering the appropriate contact information, click Update/Verify to complete the entry.
Move-Out Options for Fall 2025
Option A: Express Check Out
- Finish packing and cleaning, then bring your key immediately to the Odell Annex and leave campus.
- Residents who select this option will not complete an in-person inspection with the RA present and waive their right to contest charges. Residents will return their key to the Odell Annex upon their departure, and an RA will review their room later that day.
Option B: In-person Inspection Appointment
- Schedule an appointment using the link provided later in this form. On your move out day (must be before 12/18 at 12:00 PM), finish packing and cleaning, then an RA will meet you at your room to review your empty room. Then, bring your key immediately to the Odell Annex after your inspection and depart.
- Students who schedule an inspection with an RA must be ready to leave their room immediately after the inspection.

Inspections will be held
- December 15th - 17th from 10am to 9pm
- December 18th from 8am - 12pm.
- Inspections take about 10 minutes.
If you are leaving before December 15th, you will be defaulted to Express Check Out.
Complete the Move Out form!
- Regardless of your move-out option, all fall only residents must complete the Fall 2025 Move Out form (sent to your email) to let us know how they plan to move out by December 12.

Students who do not complete this form by December 12 will be defaulted to Option A.
Clean Your Room
- Walls, doors, and ceilings should be free of dirt, grease, spots, finger marks and pen marks
- Remove all decals, stickers, tape, tacks, nails, glue, etc. Do not spackle or patch holes
- Windows should be cleaned on the inside only with window cleaner
- Surface areas must be dusted and wiped down
- Flatten all boxes before bringing them to the floor trash room
- Clean all areas immediately outside of your room, such as chalkboards, and clear any personal belongings
- Do not leave items in the hallway, lounge, kitchens, bathrooms, stairwells or other common areas
- ALL items should be removed from bathroom
- Hartzfeld Suite and Apartment bathrooms should also be cleaned of any buildup of soap scum, mold, mildew, etc.
- Follow the move-out checklist!
Prepare For Your Inspection
- Remove all of your personal items from the room

Clean all spaces in the room
- Including Suite/Apartment Bathrooms and Apartment Kitchens
- Remove all posters, tacks, and tape from the walls
- Check for mail and packages prior to departing
- Close your windows & blinds
- Return furnishings to their original configuration. All original furnishings and accessories must be present.
- Smoke detectors must be intact and in operating condition
- All locks, lights, drawers, window pulls, etc. must be working
- For items that need to be repaired fill out a work order prior to your room inspection
Avoiding Charges
The following at minimum will result in a charge to your housing account:
- Not removing all personal belongings from space
- Not following cleaning guidelines for move out
- Not resetting furniture back to original setup
- Not following proper checkout procedures
- Not scheduling room inspection (by deadline or at all), late/unprepared for inspection, rescheduled inspection within 24 hours, did not checkout by deadline
